Cellular and circuit mechanisms underlying sensory processing in the insular cortex
Abstract
In my Habilitation à Diriger des Recherches (HDR), I provide a comprehensive overview of my research, which centers on the mechanisms underlying synaptic circuit function and plasticity in rodents. Guided by curiosity and a passion for tackling new challenges, my scientific journey has often involved redefining the scope of my research interests, the brain regions explored, and the methodologies employed. Over the years, my work has transitioned from a molecular and synaptic focus to investigating how neuronal dynamics shape sensory processing and behavior. Currently, my research examines how synaptic circuits in the mouse cortex integrate gustatory stimuli and contribute to the formation of taste memories.
