The PRNPP is a clinical platform open to the scientific, academic and industrial communities, located at Bordeaux University Hospital. It offers state-of-the-art equipment and multidisciplinary expertise to identify innovative biomarkers and evaluate personalised treatments or technological solutions in healthy volunteers and patients.
Backed by the SANPSY laboratory (UMR 6033) and the Clinical Investigation Centre (CIC 1401), it has ARS authorisation and is committed to quality. Its qualified team (doctors, researchers, engineers, ARCs, psychologists, nurses) is trained in Good Clinical Practices and ensures the safety and smooth running of studies.
Its areas of expertise cover:
- Clinical research (phase I-IV studies, methodological and logistical support),
- Sleep, alertness and cognition (deprivation protocols, sleepiness tests, EEG, cognitive functions),
- Chronobiology and circadian rhythms,
- Countermeasures and technologies (driving simulators, emotion assessment, alertness-enhancing devices),
- Virtual reality and digital health tools (virtual environments, applications, user tests).
The platform provides dedicated premises (rooms, treatment room), active EEG headsets and wireless systems, eye tracking, driving simulators, a motion capture system (24 infrared cameras), and tools for processing and storing biological samples.
By bringing together medical and technological expertise, the PRNPP offers a unique environment for designing and conducting innovative clinical research projects.
