Role of hippocampal CB1 receptors in juvenile obesity-induced memory impairment – Bordeaux, France
Our research project aims at investigating the role of CB1 receptors within the hippocampus in mediating memory deficits in obesogenic diet-fed mice. This work is part of a close collaboration between the lab of Guillaume Ferreira and Giovanni Marsicano (Busquets-Garcia et al., Mol Psy 2017, Neuron 2018).
We are looking for a candidate with expertise in chemogenetic or pharmacology combined with behavioral testing and/or in vivo calcium imaging (fiber photometry). The successful candidate will use viral vectors and transgenic mice.
Highly motivated candidate with a PhD in Behavioral Neuroscience or related fields are encouraged to apply. A strong experience in viral-based strategy to manipulate behaviors would be appreciated.
The position is available from September 2019 for one year, with potential extension for 9 months. The salary will depend on experience.
