BIC Image of the month

BIC is reviving an old tradition: the Image Of the Month!

Every month, BIC engineers will select a beautiful image produced by one of our users. This image will be highlighted in the newsletter of the BIC, and its producer will be magnificently rewarded!

This month’s winner is Olivier Thoumine (IINS), with his image of a spheroid made of dissociated rat hippocampal cells observed after 14 days in suspension culture. A few neurons expressing the fluorescent protein td-Tomato (color coded in gold) have extended long neurites. The spheroid diameter is around 200 µm and has been imaged using the SP5 Confocal with the help of Jérémie Teillon (BIC UAR 3420).
