Coordinations and plasticity of spinal generators
Coordination et plasticité des générateurs spinaux
La moelle épinière contient l’ensemble des neurones à l’origine de la commande nerveuse locomotrice. Dans notre équipe nous cherchons à comprendre comment cette commande est générée et comment les neurones locomoteurs spinaux interagissent avec d’autres réseaux impliqués directement ou indirectement dans l’activité locomotrice comme les neurones en charge de notre posture, les neurones respiratoires bulbaires et plus récemment les neurones du système nerveux sympathique qui contrôlent notre pression artérielle. Nous abordons ces thématiques en situation physiologique mais aussi en situations physiopathologiques : suite à une lésion de la moelle épinière et dans un modèle murin d’une maladie neurodégénérative des motoneurones spinaux, la sclérose latérale amyotrophique (ALS). Enfin, nous nous intéressons également aux effets que pourraient subir ces réseaux de neurones moteurs au cours du développement suite à une exposition maternelle à certaines substances potentiellement toxiques telles que les nanoparticules de métal (oxyde de zinc, dioxyde de titane).
