Après avoir complété ma formation académique dans les Universités de Grenoble, Aix-Marseille, Montréal, Laval (Qc, CA) et Paris, j’ai eu l’opportunité de rejoindre le CNRS à Bordeaux en 2009. Mes recherches portent sur la manière dont le cerveau combine les signaux provenant de l’oreille interne, des yeux et du corps pour contrôler le mouvement et l’équilibre. Je m’intéresse aussi aux troubles qui peuvent en résulter, et particulièrement au mal de l’espace et à l’adaptation des humains aux environnements de gravité modifiée.
Je mène régulièrement des expériences sur des humains lors de vols paraboliques à bord des avions Zéro-G de Novespace, avec le soutien du Centre National des Études Spatiales (CNES). Je conçois et fabrique des dispositifs expérimentaux sur mesure pour la recherche en hypogravité, ainsi que pour des études cliniques sur la Plateforme d’Analyse du Mouvement, dont j’assure la responsabilité technique. Mon objectif est de contribuer à améliorer la sécurité, la performance et le confort des personnes en mouvement, aussi bien sur Terre que dans l’espace.
