Title
New hippocampal circuits for novelty
Abstract
Yes, hippocampal area CA2 really exists! It has unique hypothalamic input from the supramammilary nucleus that plays a role in social novelty detection. I will tell you more about this, as well as the local CA2 circuit and plasticity that allows new social experience to be remembered.
