Three leucokinins were isolated from the mosquito Aedes aegypti. The amino acid
sequences of the Aedes leukokinins 1, 2 and 3 have been determined to be
Asn-Ser-Lys-Tyr-Val-Ser-Lys-Gln-Lys-Phe-Tyr-Ser-Trp-Gly-amide,
Asn-Pro-Phe-His-Ala-Trp-Gly-amide and
Asn-Asn-Pro-Asn-Val-Phe-Tyr-Pro-Trp-Gly-amide, respectively.
