Workshop : Luminosa system, from PicoQuant
A workshop presenting the system Luminosa from PicoQuant will be held at the BIC from the 3rd to the 7th of November.
This system is a confocal microscope allowing to perform lifetime measurement (FLIM), FLIM-FRET, single-molecule FRET, FCS (Fluorescence Correlation Spectroscopy) experiments, and more… This confocal microscope is equipped with a SPAD detector. SPAD stands for Single-Photon Avalanche Diode.
SPAD detectors bring photon-counting sensitivity, excellent timing, to confocal microscopy. They are particularly advantageous for low-light imaging, FLIM, FCS, and other single-molecule or time-resolved applications where every photon counts.
The Luminosa confocal microscope is equipped with a SPAD array module enable to improve the resolution of the confocal and combines the FLIM information and the ISM resolution.
What is ISM microscopy? : ISM microscopy with SPAD arrays is a super-resolution confocal technique where a SPAD detector array replaces the single confocal detector, allowing the system to capture more photons and computationally enhance resolution beyond the diffraction limit.
Program / Registration
A presentation of the system Luminosa will be done in the conference room of the CARF building the Friday 31st of October at 11:00.
If you want to attend to the workshop itself to test your own samples, please contact Sébastien Marais to book a session. 2 sessions per day are planned the week of the 3rd of november: 9:30-12:30 and 14:00-17:00.
The demo system will be equipped with:
- Excitation wavelengths:405, 485, 532, 560, 640 nm
- Detectors: 1x SPAD, 1x PMA-Hybrid, 1x PDA23 SPAD-array
- Scanner: FLIMbee Galvo-scanner
- Special accessories: stagetop-incubator
