Imaris: 3D image vizualisation and quantification in April 2026 in Bordeaux

The Bordeaux Imaging Center and the Infinity Imaging Centre in Toulouse are co-organising a training course on the use of Imaris 3D analysis software from 28 to 30 April 2026 in Bordeaux.

It is aimed at people who have or use Imaris and want to learn or deepen their knowledge of how to use this powerful 3D image processing and analysis software.

This training course, which is almost exclusively practice-based, will be conducted using images provided in advance by the participants.

Each trainee will be provided with a computer and an Imaris 11 license to practise throughout the three days of training.

QuPath is an open-source, multi-platform software dedicated to analysis of images originating from slide scanners, but not just that…
It offers a wide possibility for an easy and efficient way to detect, characterize and classify objects, from anatomical structures up to intracellular compartments.
The program of the training will be the following:
– Import of Data
– How to manipulate colored/fluorescent images
– How to create manual or automatic annotations (regions of interest)
– Extract and visualize measurements
– Creation and management of the different classes
– Pixel classification: How to create a model
– Automatic cell detection
– Object classification: based on statistics or by Machine Learning
– Bonus: Use StarDist as Cell Detection module
