Milton Safenowitz Postdoctoral Fellowship Program
Safenowitz Fellows receive up to $150,000 over two years to complete projects with high scientific merit and relevance to ALS. These grants don’t just fund specific research projects, though — they also support and nurture the talent behind them.
Safenowitz Fellows receive extensive exposure to the ALS research community through meetings, presentations, and the Association’s Postdoctoral Fellowship Consortium. The Consortium brings together Association-funded fellows to collaborate, present their research, gain feedback, and deepen their knowledge and experience in the ALS field. Safenowitz Fellows also develop high-quality papers and collect the foundational data they need to secure future funding from the Association, the National Institutes of Health, and other sources.
