Monthly scientific meetings about large neural networks and behavior.
Following discussions among researchers at Bordeaux Neurocampus, in particular around the last NeuralNet meeting, it has been decided to launch a monthly scientific meeting focused on topics related to large neural networks and behavior.
The analysis of large neuroscience datasets (high-throughput electrophysiology, calcium imaging, high-dimensional behavioral measurements) can be challenging. Moreover, the conceptual frameworks required for proper data interpretation often rely on modeling approaches that demand interdisciplinary expertise and/or collaborative efforts. We are therefore opening a series of informal scientific discussions to foster fruitful interactions around current and ongoing projects across various labs at Bordeaux Neurocampus.
Meetings will take place on the 4th Thursday of each month at 1:00 PM and will be open to everyone (students, researchers, engineers, etc.). Attendance will be limited to 30 participants (if necessary) to maintain a format favorable to exchanges and informal presentations and discussions. Online broadcasting will be available if more people wish to follow the meetings. Each session will feature a single presenter who will introduce either a project/dataset/analysis or a paper of strong and shared interest (e.g., presenting a new analysis method or model). In both cases, the presentation should focus on questions related to large neuronal networks and/or computational approaches (i.e., in-depth behavioral or neuronal data analysis, or theoretical modeling).
