Postdoctoral Researcher – Neurobiology of Cocaine Addiction

We are seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral researcher to join a multidisciplinary team studying the neurobiological and behavioral mechanisms underlying vulnerability to cocaine addiction.

To identify the neuronal basis of behavioral transitions, this position is dedicated to combining the following approaches:
– Miniscope calcium imaging to record neuronal activity during cocaine self-administration
– AI-based behavioral phenotyping (e.g., DeepLabCut) and neural data analysis

Responsibilities

• Implement and optimize miniscope recordings in cocaine self-administering rats
• Apply machine learning tools to identify fine-grained behavioral motifs
• Develop pipelines to link neural dynamics with behavior

Requirements

• PhD in neuroscience, neurocomputation or related field
• Experience with animal models and in vivo imaging
• Programming skills (Python, MATLAB, etc.)
• Familiarity with behavioral analysis or machine learning
