SUMMARY:Symposium: 3D models in biology: organoids\, spheroids\, organ-on-a-ship\, bioprinted tissues
DESCRIPTION:Venue: Haut-Carré \nThe focus of the day is on in vitro three-dimensional cellular models developed  for biology and medicine. These models\, which include organoids\, spheroids\, organs-on-a-chip and bioprinted tissues\, are currently undergoing exponential development\, thanks in particular to the coincidence between advances in stem cell biology and bioengineering technologies. As well as being an alternative to animal models\, these models are of major interest for developmental biology\, disease modeling\, drug screening\, regenerative and personalized medicine. This research is intrinsically interdisciplinary\, requiring the collaboration of biologists\, physicians\, physicists\, chemists and engineers. \nThe aim of this first edition is to bring together people already using or aiming at developing these models\, to share their current or future projects. This symposium should promote interactions between researchers of the ‘Nouvelle Aquitaine’\, exchanges of ideas and methods\, reinforce existing collaborations and prompt the initiation of new ones. \nPractical details \nThe day will be organized around thematic sessions with one invited communication and short communications (8 min + 2min questions) per session. Coffee and lunch breaks will be accompanied by poster sessions. Abstracts for short communications and/or posters can be submitted until 3 May. \nIn-person only \nOrganizing Committee \nHugo De-Oliveira (Biotis) – Isabelle Dupin (CRCTB) – Elise Maurat (CRCTB) – Matthieu Raoux (CBMN) – Gaëlle Recher (LP2N) – Vincent Studer (IINS) – Christine Varon (BRIC) \nSponsors   \nThis event is sponsored by the GdR ImaBio\, with additional support from: départements SBM et STS de l’Université de Bordeaux\, Bordeaux Neurocampus\, l’OncoSphère\, le RRI NewMoon\, the Company of Biologists\, Nikon\, Alvéole\, StemCell Technologies \n\nMore details\nWebsite: https://3dbio.sciencesconf.org \n

SUMMARY:Soutenance de thèse - Jeremy Lesas
\nControlling fear in mice with clinically relevant stimulation of the prefrontal cortex \nRésumé\nLes pathologies neuropsychiatriques touchent une part importante de la population. \nNeuropsychiatric disorders affect an important part of the population. Several types of therapeutic strategies exist for the care of these disorders\, such as drugs\, functional therapy and neurostimulation. This latter has already proven effective for disorders such as Parkinson’s disease\, major depression or obsessive-compulsive disorders\, but is still ineffective for anxiety disorders : yet they represent an important part of resistant psychiatric conditions. This project aims at developing optogenetics\, a recent technique which already revolutionized neuroscientific research\, to open doors for its clinical translation\, and to combine it with advanced knowledge on the physiology of fear and anxiety disorders using closed-loop stimulation of the prefrontal cortex. \nPublication\nen révision à Advanced Healthcare Materials :\nDye-based Fluorescent Organic Nanoparticles\, New Promising Tools for Optogenetics\nJeremy Lesas\, Thomas Bienvenu\, Eleonore Kurek\, Jean-Baptiste Verlhac\, Delphine Girard\, Frédéric Lanore\, Mireille Blanchard-Desce\, Cyril Herry\, Jonathan Daniel* and Cyril Dejean* \nJury\nDirecteur de thèse : Dr. DEJEAN Cyril \nMembres du jury :\nDr. HUMEAU Yann\, Directeur de recherche\, CNRS\nPr.
