SUMMARY:Seminar - Valérie Doyère
DESCRIPTION:\nDr. Valérie Doyere\nDirectrice de Recherche\nInstitut NeuroPSI – UMR9197\nSaclay\nPage web\nInvited by Etienne Coutureau (INCIA) \nVenue: Centre Broca \n\nTitle\nWhen the amygdala influences the prefronto-striatal network and the expectancy of a reinforcer. \nAbstract\nThe medial prefrontal cortex (mPFC) and dorsomedial striatum (DMS) form a neural network involved in interval timing and behavior. Because of its direct efferences to both mPFC and DMS\, the basolateral amygdala (BLA) is in an ideal position to influence the mPFC-DMS network. I will present a series of experiments in rats to highlight the role of BLA in modulating/controlling the expectancy of a reinforcer\, in particular in its temporal aspect. \n  \n
