A large part of the course is dedicated to cutting-edge brain imaging and novel “omics” tools and their application in epidemiology of vascular and brain aging. This course will be taught by highly renowned international experts from across the world. It is intended to be strongly interactive with practical demonstrations.
This summer school is mainly designed for post-doctoral fellows and more senior researchers who have an interest in moving into this field, as well as PhD students specializing in this domain.

To ensure optimal interaction between attendees and faculty, the number of participants is limited to 40.

This summer school is a unique opportunity to learn the latest developments on the following topics:

Up-to-date overview of modern epidemiology of the most common neurological diseases

In depth description of innovative high-dimensional MRI markers of brain aging in large population-based cohort studies

Cutting-edge brain imaging and novel “omics” tools, and their application in epidemiology of vascular and brain aging

Large-scale genomic approaches (GWAS, Exome and Whole genome sequencing approaches), as well as epigenomics and metabolomics approaches for neurological diseases

Systems biology and translational approaches

Challenges and opportunities of planning new studies in the “omics” era, including translational, lifecourse, and e-cohort approaches.

“Hands on” for analyzing and visualizing omics data, including in relation with cutting-edge imaging

One to one interaction with international experts

An editor’s guide for submitting papers on neuroepidemiology with large-scale imaging and omics data for peer reviewed journals

Ethical considerations

The Neurepiomics organizing team
Bordeaux speakers : Stéphanie DEBETTE, Bernard MAZOYER, Christophe TZOURIO, Rodolphe THIEBAUT, University of Bordeaux, France

[86

post-64320","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-trainings
["GET
