Dans les ann\u00e9es 1990, une d\u00e9couverte ouvre une perspective nouvelle : notre cerveau peut encore en fabriquer, dans certaines r\u00e9gions. L\u2019axe central de ses travaux de recherche est en effet l\u2019\u00e9tude de la n\u00e9o-neurogen\u00e8se, c&#8217;est-\u00e0-dire la production de nouveaux neurones dans le cerveau adulte, plus pr\u00e9cis\u00e9ment au sein du gyrus dent\u00e9 de l\u2019hippocampe.
