In the last years it has fostered exchanges between synaptic physiology and neuronal network, reflecting the growing interplay between these fields. A hallmark of this event has always been to highlight the work of young researchers, giving them the possibility to share their results to a large audience.<\/p>\n<p>This year, the organizing committee would like to strengthen this participation and<strong> invite PhD students and postdoctoral researchers to join the organizing committee<\/strong> and officially organize it (with our help!).<\/p>\n<p>This will be a great experience to gain hands-on training in scientific event organization. Furthermore, it will enhance your CV, and PhD students will benefit from hours as \u2018continuous formation\u2019.<\/p>\n<p><strong>As part of the organizing committee, you\u2019ll be involved in the main following tasks (but not only):<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Set up the program (between April and end of June):\n<ul>\n<li>Select and invite two external speakers (usually one French and one European, associated to the PhD seminar)<\/li>\n<li>Choose local senior researchers<\/li>\n<li>Launch the call to collect young researchers\u2019 candidatures<\/li>\n<li>Make a balanced and exciting program<\/li>\n<li>Create the flyer for the advertisement (usually before July)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Practical organization:\n<ul>\n<li>Coordinate with the administration for speakers travel, book the venue, communication, and organize lunch and coffee break\u2026<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>During the day:\n<ul>\n<li>Present the speakers, run the question\/answer session, ensure smooth timing, and take care of breaks&#8230;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>If you are interested or you want more details, please send an email to bf-syn.net.day@u-bordeaux.fr, introducing yourself (position, lab, your research domain\u2026) before April 3rd<\/strong>.
