{"id":194756,"date":"2026-02-23T20:15:27","date_gmt":"2026-02-23T19:15:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.bordeaux-neurocampus.fr\/?p=194756"},"modified":"2026-02-24T08:31:46","modified_gmt":"2026-02-24T07:31:46","slug":"engineer-assistant-team-desmedt","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bordeaux-neurocampus.fr\/en\/engineer-assistant-team-desmedt\/","title":{"rendered":"Engineer assistant"},"content":{"rendered":"<p align=\"justify\"><span lang=\"en-US\"><b>Position to be filled<\/b><\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">: <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\"><b>AI (10 months)<\/b><\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">, team &#8216;Pathophysiology of declarative memory&#8217;, Neurocentre Magendie, INSERM U1215.<\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"><span lang=\"en-US\"><b>Profile<\/b><\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">: <\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span lang=\"en-US\">Contribute to the<\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span lang=\"en-US\"> identification of the <\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span lang=\"en-US\"><i>neural network (engram cells) underlying the switch from pathological traumatic memory (post-traumatic stress disorder -PTSD-like) to normative (contextualized) fear memory and vice versa<\/i><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span lang=\"en-US\">. <\/span><\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">Using <\/span><span lang=\"en-GB\">the most advanced technologies in neuroscience, e.g. transgenic -FosTRAP2- mice,<\/span> <span lang=\"en-GB\">chemogenetics, optogenetics, cellular imaging, the assistant engineer will investigate the <\/span><span lang=\"en-GB\"><i>fate and representation of the \u201cmemory engram\u201d during the formation, prevention and normalization of the trauma representation<\/i><\/span><span lang=\"en-GB\">. <\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"><span lang=\"en-US\"><u>Required skills<\/u><\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">: behavioral approaches in mice, stereotaxic surgery, histological and immunohistochemical approaches.
