Scientific Reports 7, 45831 \/ Research | 04 April 2017 |<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Institut des Maladies Neurod\u00e9g\u00e9n\u00e9ratives CNRS UMR 5293 &#8211; IMN \/ Team: Physiopathologie des syndromes parkinsoniens \/ Directeur \u00a0Erwan B\u00e9zard \u00a0\/<\/p>\n<p><strong>In french<\/strong><\/p>\n<p lang=\"fr\">Mathieu Bourdenx est maintenant Postdoc \u00e0 l&#8217;Albert Einstein College of Medicine de New York dans le labo de\u00a0Ana Maria Cuervo.<span class=\"image-wrapper frame\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<figure id=\"attachment_18399\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-18399\" style=\"width: 157px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-18399\" src=\"https:\/\/www.bordeaux-neurocampus.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/benjamin-dehay.jpg\" alt=\"Benjamin Dehay\" width=\"157\" height=\"209\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-18399\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Benjamin Dehay<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p lang=\"fr\"><strong>Benjamin Dehay\u00a0<\/strong>: Les maladies neurod\u00e9g\u00e9n\u00e9ratives sont caract\u00e9ris\u00e9es par la d\u00e9g\u00e9n\u00e9rescence de r\u00e9gions c\u00e9r\u00e9brales sp\u00e9cifiques associ\u00e9es \u00e0 l&#8217;accumulation de prot\u00e9ines li\u00e9e \u00e0 chacune maladie sous forme de d\u00e9p\u00f4ts extra-ou intra-cellulaires.\u00a0Il est int\u00e9ressant de faire le constat que <strong>95% des donn\u00e9es obtenues<\/strong> \u00e0 partir des mod\u00e8les animaux en recherche biom\u00e9dicale <strong>sont issues de mod\u00e8les murins<\/strong> en raison de leur facilit\u00e9 d\u2019\u00e9levage et de l\u2019effort consid\u00e9rable investi dans les d\u00e9veloppements majeurs d\u2019outils de biologie mol\u00e9culaire cibl\u00e9s sur ces esp\u00e8ces.<br \/>\nEn d\u00e9pit de leur int\u00e9r\u00eat, ces mod\u00e8les sont souvent bas\u00e9s sur un haut niveau d&#8217;expression de la prot\u00e9ine li\u00e9e \u00e0 la maladie, mettant ainsi en question leur pertinence pour la pathologie humaine et appelant \u00e0 l&#8217;utilisation alternative d\u2019esp\u00e8ces, dites exotiques, pr\u00e9sentant des strat\u00e9gies uniques de survie gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 des adaptations originales ou des sp\u00e9cificit\u00e9s biologiques et biochimiques.<\/p>\n<p lang=\"fr\">Parmi ces mod\u00e8les dits \u00e9cologiques, <em>Octodon degus\u00a0<\/em>est apparu au cours des derni\u00e8res ann\u00e9es comme un mod\u00e8le animal prometteur pr\u00e9sentant la pathologie li\u00e9e \u00e0 l&#8217;\u00e2ge li\u00e9e \u00e0 la maladie d&#8217;Alzheimer.<br \/>\n\u00c9tant donn\u00e9 que les prot\u00e9ines associ\u00e9es aux maladies neurod\u00e9g\u00e9n\u00e9ratives co-agr\u00e8gent souvent dans le cerveau des patients, <strong>nous avons voulu ph\u00e9notyper et \u00e9valuer l&#8217;apparition de la pathologie li\u00e9e \u00e0 l&#8217;\u03b1-synucl\u00e9ine dans ce mod\u00e8le animal<\/strong> en utilisant des techniques immunohistochimiques et biochimiques appropri\u00e9es.<\/p>\n<p lang=\"fr\">Malgr\u00e9 nos efforts\u00a0et contrairement aux r\u00e9sultats pr\u00e9c\u00e9demment publi\u00e9s, notre \u00e9tude va \u00e0 l\u2019encontre de l\u2019utilisation d&#8217;<em>Octodon degus<\/em> comme mod\u00e8le naturel appropri\u00e9 pour \u00e9tudier l\u2019aspect temporel des m\u00e9canismes neurod\u00e9g\u00e9n\u00e9ratifs.<br \/>\nCependant, nous n&#8217;avons pas r\u00e9ussi \u00e0 identifier aucune pathologie c\u00e9r\u00e9brale li\u00e9e \u00e0 la maladie de Parkinson ou \u00e0 la maladie d&#8217;Alzheimer mais peut \u00e9ventuellement supporter une utilisation comme mod\u00e8le pour l\u2019\u00e9tude du vieillissement.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Lack of spontaneous age-related brain pathology in Octodon degus: a reappraisal of the model.\u00a0Mathieu Bourdenx, Sandra Dovero, Marie-Laure Thiolat, Erwan Bezard &#038;
