workshop will include:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>What is the benefit<\/strong> for biology and medicine to think in terms of (psycho)neuroimmunology in comparison with its constituting disciplines, namely immunology, neurobiology, and psychology?<\/li>\n<li><strong>At what level(s) of analysis<\/strong> (organism, organ, cell, and molecule) are neuroimmunology and psychoneuroimmunology most powerful in explaining health and disease?<\/li>\n<li><strong>What does it mean<\/strong> for the central nervous system to be immune-privileged and can other nervous systems or organs be qualified in the same way?<\/li>\n<li><strong>How important are biological barriers<\/strong> (blood-brain barrier, gut barrier, etc.) and biological<br \/>\ncompartments (brain parenchyma, meninges, gut lumen, peritoneal cavity) in constraining or favoring neuroimmune interactions?<\/li>\n<li><strong>Does neuroimmunology account better<\/strong> for the organism\u2019s capacity to maintain its integrity than neuroscience and immunology?<\/li>\n<li><strong>What are the implications<\/strong> and what can be the impact of some (psycho)neuroimmunological research findings for other fields of biology and medicine, and more generally\u00a0for philosophical and\u00a0social issues?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a class=\"external\"
