Ils contr\u00f4lent presque tous les processus physiologiques et comptent parmi les cibles les plus importantes des m\u00e9dicaments autoris\u00e9s.<br \/>\nPendant des ann\u00e9es, l&#8217;opinion dominante a \u00e9t\u00e9 que les RCPG situ\u00e9s \u00e0 la membrane plasmique transduisaient les signaux de l&#8217;espace extracellulaire \u00e0 l&#8217;espace intracellulaire. Cependant, les donn\u00e9es recueillies au cours de la derni\u00e8re d\u00e9cennie ont montr\u00e9 que les RCPG \u00e9mettent des signaux \u00e0 partir de divers compartiments intracellulaires pour g\u00e9n\u00e9rer des r\u00e9ponses cellulaires et physiologiques distinctes.
