\"\"<\/a>Since February 2024, once a month, the Bordeaux Imaging Center has been showcasing an image produced by a user. Of course, there are images from neuroscience, but that’s not all!<\/p>\n

A year and a half after the start of this initiative, here they are, all together!<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>In July, the Image of the Month award goes to Ad\u00e8le Drouet of the MAP team (Mechanisms of Adaptive Processes in Brain Circuits) at IINS (UMR 5297). This image represents a neurosphere (150\u00d7150 \u00b5m) formed from dissociated hippocampal neurons cultured for 14 days under non-adhesive conditions. The team uses this model to investigate the role of the adhesion molecule neuroligin-1 in synapse formation, through knockdown or overexpression approaches. Neurons expressing shRNA-GFP (electroporated at DIV 0) are shown in yellow. Nuclei of all cells within the sphere are counterstained with DAPI (cyan).<\/p>\n
