Il est sp\u00e9cialiste des m\u00e9canismes mol\u00e9culaires et cellulaires de la plasticit\u00e9 synaptique.<\/p>\n<p>La m\u00e9daille de bronze du CNRS r\u00e9compense les premiers travaux consacrant des chercheurs et chercheuses. Cette distinction repr\u00e9sente un encouragement du CNRS \u00e0 poursuivre des recherches bien engag\u00e9es et d\u00e9j\u00e0 f\u00e9condes.<\/p>\n<h3>A propos<\/h3>\n<p>La plasticit\u00e9 est l\u2019incroyable capacit\u00e9 de notre cerveau \u00e0 se r\u00e9organiser en fonction de notre environnement. Elle joue un r\u00f4le essentiel pendant le d\u00e9veloppement, mais aussi lors de processus adaptatifs comme l&#8217;apprentissage et la m\u00e9moire. <strong>\u00c0 travers ses recherches, Mathieu Letellier s\u2019int\u00e9resse \u00e0 la plasticit\u00e9 des synapses<\/strong>, les zones de contact \u00e0 travers lesquelles les neurones communiquent et relaient l\u2019influx nerveux. Son objectif est de d\u00e9chiffrer les m\u00e9canismes mol\u00e9culaires et cellulaires qui r\u00e9gulent leur nombre, leur diversit\u00e9 et leur fonction et qui, lorsqu\u2019ils sont alt\u00e9r\u00e9s, sont \u00e0 l\u2019origine de maladies neurologiques. Il a ainsi montr\u00e9 qu\u2019une signalisation affectant la neuroligine 1, une prot\u00e9ine impliqu\u00e9e dans la m\u00e9morisation, contr\u00f4le la diff\u00e9renciation et la plasticit\u00e9 des synapses excitatrices.
