Le Prix Desmarest<\/a><\/u> \"\"of the Pierre Deniker Foundation<\/a><\/u>, aims to fund basic research projects in the field of Alzheimer’s disease and neurodegenerative diseases, with a total endowment of \u20ac100,000.<\/p>\n

The Pierre Deniker Foundation<\/a><\/u> supports mental health research programs, and raises public awareness of mental disorders.<\/p>\n

\"\"For its third edition, the Prix Desmarest<\/a><\/u> was awarded to Christophe Mulle, CNRS, team leader at IINS. The project, which will be co-headed by Thierry Am\u00e9d\u00e9e, aims to investigate the morpho-functional relationships between microglia and synapses near amyloid plaques in an animal model of Alzheimer’s disease.<\/p>\n

Christophe Mulle was awarded the prize on January 20th at the Encephale Congress (Paris) by Annick Demarest and by Chantal Henry, scientific director of the Pierre Deniker Foundation.<\/p>\n
