A l\u2019exception des antid\u00e9presseurs dits tricycliques (TCA) ou des inhibiteurs de recapture de la s\u00e9rotonine et de la noradr\u00e9naline (IRSN) qui ont une efficacit\u00e9 tr\u00e8s partielle, il n\u2019existe pas de traitement efficace sans effets secondaires graves. Cependant, les antid\u00e9presseurs de type &#8220;inhibiteurs sp\u00e9cifiques de recapture de la s\u00e9rotonine&#8221; (IRSS) sont inefficaces mais ont peu d\u2019effets secondaires.<\/p>\n<p>Des chercheurs de l&#8217;IMN, en collaboration avec le centre de recherche CERVO \u00e0 Qu\u00e9bec, ont identifi\u00e9 la cause de cette inefficacit\u00e9. Il est donc propos\u00e9 d&#8217;associer ces inhibiteurs \u00e0 une mol\u00e9cule qui r\u00e9tablit le fonctionnement normal du syst\u00e8me s\u00e9rotoninergique impliqu\u00e9. Ces travaux ont fait l\u2019objet d\u2019un d\u00e9p\u00f4t prioritaire de brevet europ\u00e9en par les co-inventeurs, Franck Aby, Pascal Fossat, Rabia Benazzouz et Yves De Konninck.
