Silver Brain Food aims at developing local, personalized solutions, products and services to promote a nutrient-rich diet, essential for brain health, to the elderly, and therefore prevent cognitive decline This research program has a total budget of \u20ac16.3 million, including \u20ac9.3 million from the Investments for the Future Program (PIA) operated by Bpifrance.<\/p>\n<p>The launch of the Silver Brain Food project is a continuation of the research work initiated by Activ\u2019Inside:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A first study based on epidemiological data conducted by the U1219 <strong>Bordeaux Population Health<\/strong> research center (Joint Research Unit (UMR) INSERM-University of Bordeaux) and Activ\u2019Inside demonstrated that people who consume high quantities of a combination of polyphenols, including grapes, had a 50% reduction of the incidence of dementia and Alzheimer\u2019s disease!<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bordeaux-neurocampus.fr\/staff\/anne-laure-dinel\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-61831 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/www.bordeaux-neurocampus.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/Bx_Neurocampus_Nutrineuro01_RVB-520px.jpg\" alt=\"Logo Nutrineuro - Neurocampus\" width=\"209\" height=\"164\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.bordeaux-neurocampus.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/Bx_Neurocampus_Nutrineuro01_RVB-520px.jpg 520w, https:\/\/www.bordeaux-neurocampus.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/Bx_Neurocampus_Nutrineuro01_RVB-520px-360x282.jpg 360w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 209px) 100vw, 209px\" \/><\/a>Furthermore, a consortium of industrial and academic partners led by Activ\u2019Inside and the <strong>NutriNeuro<\/strong> laboratory (UMR INRAE\u200b\u200b\/University of Bordeaux\/Bordeaux INP) launched a research project. Conducted between 2011 and 2018, this project highlighted the clinical effectiveness of Memophenol <sup>TM<\/sup>, a formulation of polyphenols from grapes and blueberries developed by this project on the normal cognitive decline of elderly people.
