Our main project aims at characterizing the neuronal substrates underlying the positive and negative emotion-memory interaction in normal young adult mice. We also study how the emotional impact on memory is altered by aging or in pathological states such as in Alzheimer\u0092s disease, chronic alcohol and diencephalic dementia, to possibly restore the impaired memory functions.
