Our team develops two different lines of research. Using rodent models, our main objective is to understand the brain mechanisms underlying the drug-induced vulnerability to stress, cognitive impairments and emotional deficits. Notably, we revealed the implication of the corticotropin-releasing factor (CRF) system in the expression of stress induced by drug withdrawal. Another line of research is dedicating to the dissection of genetic and molecular factors (neuropeptide) that control physiological and energetic processes in transgenic Drosophila models.
