Master/Post-doctoral research associate/fellow position
A 6-months master/post-doc position is available at NutriNeuro lab in Bordeaux, France (in NutriMind team), starting in December 2023.
We are seeking a highly motivated master/post-doctoral research associate in biostatistics interested in the development of innovative nutritional solutions to prevent accelerated age-related cognitive decline. This clinical project entitled “Brain Booster” is a part of a more complex project aggregating preclinical and clinical research.
The candidate will use the scientific data collected and extract useful data, draft and revise statistical procedures, develop and/or implement the most appropriate statistical methods, ensure the filing and archiving of documents relating to statistical analyses (statistical analysis programs, results), interpret the results, participate in the review of clinical data from the bibliography. Moreover, the candidate will validate and write the statistical part of analysis report and scientific publications.
We expect the candidate to be involved in all the aspects of the project. Strong social abilities are required as the team relies on very active exchanges between the members.
The candidate will benefit from the support of the NutriMind team (actually Neuropsychoimmunology and Nutrition team) of the NutriNeuro laboratory in Bordeaux (France). This dynamic team is composed of 7 researchers, 1 professor and 1 assistant professor, 3 technicians and actually 5 post-docs and 8 PhD students. NutriNeuro lab is involved in several national and international research consortium and leading partner of Optinutribrain (international association between NutriNeuro and Laval University in Quebec) and Food4brainhealth (involving 13 partners in France and Canada). Locally, the lab is a member of the Bordeaux Neurocampus, encompassing more than 50 labs dedicated to Neuroscience and 18 platforms, providing an exceptionally rich scientific environment.
– Bac +5/8 level training: master’s degree or doctorate: statistic, biostatistics, epidemiology, bioinformatics and public health, biostatistics applied to health, mathematics applied to statistics, computer science statistics.
– Experience would be greatly appreciated.
