SUMMARY:Seminar - Hiromitsu Tanaka
DESCRIPTION:Venue: CGFB\n \n\nHiromitsu Tanaka\nAssistant Professor\, Department of Biophysics\, University of Kyoto\, Japan\nhttps://kdb.iimc.kyoto-u.ac.jp \nInvited by David Perrais (IINS) \nTitle\nVisualization of the movement and location of neurotransmitter receptors and synaptic vesicle protein with TIRFM \nAbstract\nNeurotransmitter receptors and synaptic vesicles move dynamically in response to neuronal activity. We have developed an original experimental system to induce the formation of synaptic like membrane on a glass surface and live-cell image synaptic molecules by TIRFM. I will talk about the exocytosis and endocytosis of AMPA receptors during synaptic plasticity or Synaptophysin after presynaptic activation. \nKey publications\nHiromitsu Tanaka\, Daiki Sakaguchi\, Tomoo Hirano\, “Amyloid-β oligomers suppress subunit-specific glutamate receptor increase during LTP”\, Alzeheimer’s & Dementia: TRCI\, vol5\, p797-808 (2019) \nShumpei Fujii\, Hiromitsu Tanaka\, Tomoo Hirano\, “Suppression of AMPA receptor exocytosis contributes to hippocampal LTD”\, J.
