The course will balance lectures from world-acknowledged neuroimaging experts to experimental demonstrations and hands-on laboratory work in small groups. Participants will be introduced to a wide spectrum of techniques\, from microscopic post-mortem brain cyto- and myelo-architectony to macroscopic in vivo 3D-imaging using magnetic resonance\, functional ultrasound\, near-infrared spectroscopy\, electromagnetic waves\, and gamma-ray emission tomography. Issues associated with whole brain neuroimaging multimodality and data-sharing will also be addressed. During the course\, each participant will be given the opportunity to acquire and analyze whole-brain neuroimaging data in both preclinical and clinical environments. \nCourse director \nKatrin Amunts\nJülich Research Centre\nGermany \n  \n  \nCo-directors \nBernard Mazoyer\nCNRS\nNeurodegeneratives Diseases Institute\nUMR 5293\nUniversity of Bordeaux\nFrance \n  \nSylvain Miraux\nCNRS – RMSB\nUMR 5536\nUniversity of Bordeaux\nFrance \n  \n  \n

SUMMARY:Conference - Carolyn M. Mazure
DESCRIPTION:Venue: Amphithéâtre de l’ISPED. \n\nCarolyn M. Mazure is the Spungen Bildner Professor in Women’s Health Research at Yale University and directs Yale’s research program on health and gender which initiates and supports innovative studies on women’s health and translates findings into practice. \nProfessor Mazure’s own research focuses on the development of models for understanding depression and addictive disorders\, with a special emphasis on gender-based analyses. \nHer conference is open to all members of the University of Bordeaux community. \n
