DESCRIPTION:Venue: Centre Broca\n \n\nBenjamin Bessières\nAssociate editor\nCommunications Biology  \nTitle\nPublishing in Communications Biology and Nature Portfolio journals \nAbout the talk \nHe will give a presentation of 30 minutes followed by a discussion on his career path. \nBiosketch\nDr. Benjamin Bessières is an Associate Editor for the journal Communications Biology (Nature Portfolio) and co-leader of the Springer Nature Neuroscience Community\, where he handles manuscript submissions in all areas of Neuroscience. He received a PhD in Neuroscience from the University of Bordeaux\, under the supervison of Olivier Nicole\, where he studied the surface dynamics of cortical N-methyl-D-aspartate receptors during the consolidation and forgetting of remote episodic memories. During his postdoctoral work at New York University\, his research focused on the cellular\, metabolic and circuit mechanisms underlying infantile memory formation. He also has research experience in brain metabolism and neuron-glia interactions. He is based in the New York office. \n  \n
