Ion Channel Meeting.

Du 15 septembre 2013 au 18 septembre 2013

I'm very pleased to announce
the 24th edition of the Ion Channel Meeting.
This year's meeting will take place on the French Atlantic island of Oléron at the "La Vieille Perrotine" resort, from September 15th to 18th, 2013.

Detailed information can be found at the following link http://www.canaux-ioniques.fr/2013/

Each year, the Ion Channel Meeting gathers the international scientific community working on all aspects of ion channels and receptors in various domains of biology.

This year, the meeting will particularly focus on the following topics:
• Pain pathways: modality-specific wiring and ion channels.
• Chemical Engineering of Ion Channels.
• Plant ion channels and their regulation.
• The family of Pannexin proteins: structure and functions of a new class of channels.
• Molecular and functional diversity of Ionotropic Glutamate Receptors.
• Ion channels, from physiology to pathology.

We hope you will consider attending this year's meeting and we would like to encourage you to register and submit an abstract before July 5th, 2013.

PhD students and postdoctoral researchers are particularly encouraged to present their work and several abstracts will be selected for oral presentations. Registration fees for PhD student are only 200 € all included and we will award 4 prizes of 500 € each to PhD students and postdocs for their poster or oral presentations.

We look forward to seeing you at the meeting!
