Tuan PHAM Implementation of Spatial Variability in Clustering Models for Automated Medicaland Biological Image Extraction

Abstract :

This talk presents unsupervised models as useful tools for automated detection of medical and biological images of interest.
The proposed models are derived by extending the objective functions of the fuzzy and possibilistic clustering with a geostatistical (spatial) model. These two extended models are then combined using a probabilistic fusion method. In particular, geo-thresholding method, geostatistical fuzzy clustering and geostatistical possibilistic clustering algorithms for image segmentation are discussed. The performance and comparisons of these models with applications to medical and biological images are illustrated.
